Enneagram Cohorts for SPiritual growth

One of most powerful tools of spiritual and interpersonal growth in my life has the been the modern enneagram.  It is a tool—both spiritual and psychological—that helps me identify my personality’s strengths and weaknesses.  Our personalities—how our souls show up in the world—have unique and precious gifts for the world.  But those strengths when overplayed become the defensive habits and limited perspectives which can bring unnecessary pain and suffering into our relationships and our lives.

A new cohort study is starting in 2022 to continue the Enneagram Journey.  For those who have some experience and knowledge of the enneagram we have a monthly discussion to go deeper in our application.

Watch as four Cohort 1 participants talk about the impact the Enneagram study has had on them.

Becoming Faithful FOllowers Small Group

In deepening our relationships with God through our studies and discussions, we’ve also strengthened our relationships with each other and have developed wonderful friendships. We are currently studying the Nine Fruits of the Spirit. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience , Kindness and Goodness have been completed. Through September we will study Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

Join us as we strive to become the best versions of ourselves, expand our relationships with God and grow together in friendship and sisterhood in the process. Together we are Becoming Faithful Followers (BFFs)!

We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:30-8:00 PM in Fellowship Hall which is downstairs in our church building. Fully vaccinated attendees can choose whether or not to wear a mask. Unvaccinated attendees must wear masks covering nose and mouth.

Come to one meeting, come to two, come to them all. Whatever fits your schedule.

Friends in Faith

Christian Preschool

At Friends in Faith Christian Preschool, we believe that God creates each individual child in a unique way with special gifts and distinctive personalities. We desire to help children develop to their greatest potential spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and emotionally. Our program allows children to begin the preschool experience as early as age two, and to continue to build on those experiences with various classes up to the kindergarten level.

Manuscript Study

Manuscript study is an interactive way to study Scripture. Scripture is taken apart, observed and studied, then applied to our lives today. If you enjoy writing notes as you study, using colored pencils and markers, and delving deeply into the language of Scripture, the this type of study is for you. Contact Leigh Anne Herd if interested.

ELSIE O'NEIL WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

All Women are INVITED. We are more than a ladies group. We are a number of individuals who assemble together once a month, & have developed a unifying relationship. We bring our brown bagged lunches & share a delicious dessert. We discuss church business & our many church projects. We support each other in trials & joys. We also work together on a light Bible Study, which sometimes leads to deep & wonderful conversations.

WE SUNDAYS

Periodically through the year we gather for an informal time of inter-generational worship to share stories and learn from the wisdom of old and young together.  Look for dates and Zoom links on the home page banner.

FAITH CLASSES

Faith classes are offered on Sunday mornings for elementary and youth and adults.  Topics include introduction to the Bible stories and other topics of interest to youth.  For example, the youth and confirmation kids will join the youth to study Pierre Nzuah's book, Persist and Pursue. Bill Newell will facilitate the class and Pierre will offer insights each meeting with time for youth response after and I'll be there to help when needed. Classes will be from 9-10 Sunday mornings.

pC USA 21 Day Racial Justice Challenge

Session has reflected on attitudes and actions to dismantle structural racism using the PC USA 21-Day Racial Justice Challenge.  Click this link for the PC USA webpage.

The challenge invites you to do something every day to raise awareness about the perniciousness of racism and encourage action in response to that awareness. The PC(USA) has joined several nonprofits, organizations and school systems in adapting the challenge for use.

Another resource is this link for resources on facing racism.
